Our story · since 2015

It started with one princess
and a stubborn belief

That if you cared enough, trained hard enough, and respected the audience enough, you could give a four-year-old a memory they'd carry into adulthood.

Meet Serena

The performer who built
a fairytale company

Serena has been on stage since she was five. By the time she founded Enchanted Entertainment in 2015, she had over ten lead musical-theatre credits to her name — including Annie in Annie, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Pandora in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, plus roles in Oliver and Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and solo work in The Gleevent.

She was a finalist twice on NZ's Wannabes talent quest (with Jason Gunn) — once solo, once in duet with Ben Hazlewood. A top-5 finalist for the What Now presenter role, she co-presented the live 2-hour show. She studied performing arts at UCOL.

Still performing. Most recently, Serena played Velma Kelly in Chicago at Pataka, Porirua (April 2026). The Broadway World reviewer called her duet of "Class" the song of the night. The same voice and presence she brings to your child's birthday.

What's all that got to do with princess parties? Everything. Serena doesn't hire entertainers who can wear a costume — she hires people with formal performing-arts training. People who know how to hold a room of seven-year-olds. People who can sing live, stay in character when chaos hits, and read a child who isn't sure if they want to be the centre of attention.

That's the standard. It's why our reviews look the way they do. It's the difference you'll feel the moment your character walks through your door.

The standard

How we hire our performers

Performing-arts training

Every entertainer has formal vocal, dance or drama training. Conservatorium grads. UCOL alumni. Toi Whakaari. NASDA. No exceptions.

Police-vetted & first-aid trained

Working-with-children checks renewed annually. First-aid certs renewed every 2 years.

Rehearsed, not winged

Weekly troupe sessions to keep songs, dance routines and games sharp. Annual auditions to add new characters and retire old ones.

"Taylor came to my daughter's 5th birthday party as Ariel. Her voice is amazing and she kept the children enthralled for almost 1.5 hours. They really enjoyed the singing, dancing, games and colouring. Thanks again!"

How much does an Enchanted Entertainment party cost?

Our most-booked Princess and Superhero parties are $269 NZD for 1 hour, up to 15 children. Tween Makeover and Pamper parties are $295. Games Galore is $269. All prices include GST.

How many children can come?

Princess, Superhero and Games Galore packages accommodate up to 15 children, plus $5 per extra. Tween Makeover and Pamper parties accommodate up to 10 children, plus $20 per extra.

When does the entertainer arrive?

Our performers arrive 15 minutes before your booking time, fully in costume, fully briefed on your birthday child by name. Setup is invisible to guests. They're never the awkward "person setting up while kids arrive."

How does payment work?

Full payment is taken online to confirm your booking. Fully refundable up to 14 days before your event; free reschedule inside 14 days. No envelope of cash to chase on the day.

Which cities do you serve?

Wellington is our home city, with the full menu of Princess, Superhero, Tween, Pamper and Games. Christchurch offers the same five packages. Nelson offers Princess parties and individual Anna & Elsa character visits.

What if it rains?

Our packages adapt to indoor venues without changes. We've never cancelled for weather. If your venue requires a relocation, just let us know — we'll work around it.

What's your sickness and cancellation policy?

Full refund up to 14 days before your event. Inside 14 days, free rescheduling to any available date within 12 months at no extra cost. Kids get sick, things happen — we get it.

Are the characters really licensed?

No, and we're upfront about this — characters are our own generic creations inspired by popular stories. We're not affiliated with or licensed by any film, TV, music, or media company. This is standard practice in the industry, and lets us bring familiar magic to your party without legal complications.
