Serena founded Enchanted in Wellington in 2015 after finishing her performing-arts training at UCOL. Every Wellington performer has been auditioned in person, trained in voice and improv for months, and rehearses with the troupe weekly. Most have been with us five years or longer.
Wellington is the only city where we offer the full five-package menu — Princess, Superhero, Tween Makeover, Pamper and Games Galore — alongside individual character visits.
Anywhere from Tawa down to Island Bay, across the harbour to Eastbourne, and up the line to Paekakariki, your performer is local. The price you see is the price you pay. If your venue is beyond our standard zone we quote it upfront before you commit.
Wellington party plans rarely happen on office hours. Message us at 9pm on a Sunday and you'll have an answer before bedtime. Our weekend response is the same as our weekday response.
Transparent flat prices, every package built minute-by-minute. Every booking includes a fully-trained performer, the activities listed, and the group photo at the end.
All prices include GST. Extra children $5 each (Princess, Superhero, Games) or $20 each (Tween, Pamper). Travel inside the Wellington metro is included; outside the listed suburbs we quote a small fee upfront before you commit.
From the inner city to the Kapiti Coast, both sides of the harbour, all the way up the line. If your suburb isn't listed, ask us, we almost certainly come there too.
Most of our parties happen in family homes (we set up in a lounge, garage or back yard). For larger groups, the Wellington venues we keep coming back to are the Khandallah Town Hall, Karori Event Centre, Newtown Community & Cultural Centre, Brooklyn Community Centre, and the function rooms at Te Whaea in Newtown. In Lower Hutt we love Walter Nash Stadium's smaller rooms, and on the Kapiti Coast the Paraparaumu Memorial Hall is a favourite. Outdoor parties at the Wellington Botanic Garden and Otari-Wilton's Bush are gorgeous in summer, with an indoor backup plan.
It's Wellington, so we plan for it. Our performers carry indoor-friendly costumes for every character, our games and storytelling are designed to work as well in a lounge as on a lawn, and we've never cancelled a party for weather. If you've planned an outdoor party and the wind comes up, we just move inside and adapt; the kids never notice.
Usually we just park where guests park. Where parking is metered (Mt Victoria, Newtown, Te Aro) or tight (Aro Valley, Mt Cook), let us know in your booking notes and we'll add 10 minutes for the walk. We don't charge for parking; if you'd like to reserve a coupon space outside your house we appreciate the gesture but it's not required.
For Wellington school holidays (April, July, October and especially the long summer break), we recommend booking at least 8 weeks ahead. Saturdays during term time book 4-6 weeks out. The Saturdays either side of Christmas typically fill by October. Weekday parties (after-school slots from 3:30pm) usually have more last-minute availability.
No. The flat prices on this page are the prices, all year, every Saturday, every weekday. We don't run surge pricing for school holidays or Saturday afternoons, and we don't charge weekend surcharges. The only thing that can adjust the total is travel beyond the listed Wellington suburbs, which we always quote upfront before you confirm.
