Every Christchurch performer is auditioned in person, trained for months in voice, movement and improvisation before they ever meet a birthday child, and rehearses with the troupe weekly. Our founder Serena trained at UCOL in performing arts and was a top-five finalist on TVNZ's What Now. Costume rental and a karaoke track is the cheap option; we're the real one.
$269 for a one-hour Princess or Superhero party in Christchurch. $295 for a 1.5-hour Tween Makeover or Pamper Party. No "request a quote" forms, no hidden weekend surcharge, no GST surprise at checkout. The price on this page is the price on the day.
Pick your date, your character, your package, pay in full to confirm, done. No phone tag, no waiting on email replies, no "we'll get back to you within five business days." Most Christchurch competitors still take bookings by form; we built our calendar so you don't have to.
Working-with-children checks for every performer, current first-aid certifications. Parents who book us through a Christchurch school, day-care or community centre can request our cert pack before the day; we'll send it inside an hour.
Every booking includes a fully-trained performer, every activity listed, and the group photo at the end.
All prices include GST. Extra children $5 each (Princess, Superhero, Games) or $20 each (Tween, Pamper). Travel inside Christchurch metro is included; for Rolleston, Rangiora, Lincoln and the smaller Canterbury towns we may quote a small travel fee, always upfront before you confirm.
From the central city out to the satellite towns. If your suburb isn't listed, just ask, we almost certainly come there too.
We have a permanent Christchurch troupe. Our performers live locally (Cashmere, Riccarton, St Albans, Hornby and Rolleston are home for various team members), trained alongside the Wellington team, and rehearse together regularly. Nobody is flying in; you're booking a local performer with a Wellington-standard training pipeline behind them.
For Saturdays during term, 4-6 weeks is usually enough. School holidays and the run-up to Christmas fill faster, so we recommend 8 weeks. Weekday after-school parties (3:30pm-5pm) tend to have more last-minute availability. The most popular slots are Saturday mornings between 10am and 1pm, so if that's your window, book early.
Yes to all three, regularly. Rolleston and Lincoln in the Selwyn district and Rangiora and Kaiapoi in Waimakariri are all on our standard travel map. There can be a small travel fee for the outer Canterbury towns; if there is, we quote it before you confirm so there are no surprises on the day.
Most of our parties happen in family homes. For larger groups, the Christchurch venues we keep coming back to are Halswell Community Centre, Papanui Youth Development Trust hall, the Fendalton Service Centre rooms, and Hornby Working Men's Club function rooms. In summer the Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park work beautifully for outdoor parties with an indoor backup at home or a nearby hall.
